A trip to the past: Crier staff and Conant faculty share Halloween throwback pictures

Halloween is here, which means a few things: decorating the house, scouring stores for candy, and most importantly, finding a top-notch Halloween costume. Nothing is more nostalgic than uncovering your old Halloween costumes and pictures, so our Crier staff and Conant faculty have taken a trip down the memory lane. Here is a compilation of throwback pictures featuring the Conant faculty and the Crier staff rocking their Halloween costumes:

This was my Halloween costume when I was three years old. My mom dressed me as an angel, and I still have those wings and would use them for so many random Halloween costumes. This was a time when me and my family used to go to a lot of different Halloween parties, and I remember a lot of them vividly!”

“This picture was taken in 2005, so I was about a year old, and I was (obviously) dressed as Minnie Mouse. My mom says I was obsessed with watching “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” and “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas,” so the costume was very fitting.”

“This photo was taken in 2010 when I was six years old. I was dressed as a fairy, and the wings were my favorite part of the costume at the time. When I was little, I enjoyed dressing up in a costume for Halloween because I thought it was super fun to be able to dress up as anything I wanted.”

“I was four years old when I decided I was going to get married. I nearly gave my dad a heart attack when I came downstairs because my mom and I hadn’t told him what I was dressed as. I remember it being itchy, especially the veil, and I wound up taking it off and having my mom put on zombie makeup to make it more “Halloween-y.””

I was about 34. By the end of the school day, the makeup was itching like crazy and it took forever to get it out of my ears.”

Panda: I was three years old. I loved pandas and I would never take my costume off or my headpiece. I would sleep in it!”

This is from 5th grade when I went to my school’s Halloween party dressed as a vampire. I always tried to incorporate a cape in every costume I wore.”

“In this picture I was four years old dressed as a clown. I remember my elementary school used to do a haunted trail through the hallways and also pass out candy. At the end there was a party in the gym and a big costume contest. It was the highlight of Halloween!”
