Lana Del Rey has captivated audiences throughout her career with hauntingly beautiful music, poetic lyrics, and stunning visuals. Whether you’re a longtime fan or just discovering her artistry, there are countless reasons to fall in love with her and her songs. Here are the top four reasons why you should love Lana Del Rey.

     1. An Endless Soundtrack

Lana Del Rey provides the perfect playlist for every moment in life. From her Hollywood-esque albums “Born to Die” and “Paradise” to her dark and atmospheric instrumentals from “Ultraviolence,” and even to her reflective and personal collections like “Blue Banisters” and “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd,” there truly is something for everyone.  Each one of her songs creates a dreamy and unique world, offering an insight into her mind. One of her most underrated albums and one of my personal favorites is “Chemtrails Over the Country Club” because it’s quite experimental compared to anything else she’s put out. In this album, Lana Del Rey contrasts glamor and reality using softer and more acoustic sounds that showcase her storytelling abilities.

     2. A Living Legend

Lana Del Rey has woven her way into all things pop culture, and chances are you probably already know a few of her songs. Her fame has only grown since the release of her first single, “Video Games” in 2011, and her fanbase has especially grown on social media apps like TikTok. She has influenced style trends like Americana and coquette, which combine vintage and feminine elements such as lace details and ribbons. In addition to this, she has numerous trending audios that are commonly used in videos. With a total of 40 awards, Lana Del Rey has established herself as a key influence on this generation.

     3. Collaborative Magic

With all her unique collaborations, Lana Del Rey pushes artistic boundaries and mixes together several different genres and styles of music. On her ‘70s-inspired album “Lust for Life,” released in 2017, Lana collaborated with numerous influential artists like The Weeknd, Playboi Carti, A$AP Rocky, and Stevie Nicks. In 2022, Lana Del Rey appeared on Taylor Swift’s “Midnights” on the track “Snow on the Beach,” which went on to win the 2024 Grammy award for Album of the Year. This collaboration was a significant breakthrough for Lana Del Rey, and although she had already made a name for herself, working with a global icon like Taylor Swift was a huge milestone. Overall, her collaborations create a blend of different artistic expressions that connect all genres.

      4. Giving Back

Lana Del Rey has consistently given back to the community throughout her career. In 2020, when she announced her poetry album titled “Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass,” she chose to donate half of the funds it generated to an organization called BigDeep’s Navajo Water Project. This program works towards bringing clean water to Navajo communities across the United States. On the tour following the release of her ninth album, “Did You Know There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Boulevard,” she decided to donate the majority of the profits from ticket sales back to the cities that she toured in.

The impact Lana Del Rey has left on the music industry is undeniable. Her unique voice, her effect on pop culture, and her willingness to give back to communities are just some of the many reasons to support her and her music.
