The Year of The Tiger began on February 1, kicking off a new year in the Chinese calendar. Conant’s Chinese Club celebrated Chinese New Year with students and staff on Tuesday, February 1. The Chinese Club decorated the Door 1 hallway with festive lanterns, paper dragons, and posters about Chinese New Year and had a variety of activities where you could write calligraphy, learn the Chinese Yo-Yo, find your Chinese zodiac, and see who could use chopsticks the fastest. There was also a photo booth where students and teachers could stand in front of decorations and pose with traditional Chinese items. Those who tried all activities were presented with a token created by the Woods Club as a reminder of the memorable day.
