Per Homecoming tradition, Conant students and club and activity advisors stayed after school on Wednesday to put up decorations for Homecoming. The theme for the 2021 Homecoming dance is “Hollywood,” paying tribute to various cinematic universes and Hollywood icons.
Most clubs and activities started preparing Homecoming decorations early in the school year; however, some started as early as June. Some students stayed at school as late as 9:00 or 10:00 PM to finish putting up decorations.

Though the process is tiring, students expressed how gratifying it was to see the result of all their hard work. “Overall, it was super stressful, but in the end, it’s really nice to see it all come together,” Student Council Executive Board member Nawab Ali, ‘23, said.
It is clear that students value and cherish this long standing tradition. “I really love homecoming decorations because it gives a great opportunity for everyone in the club to come together because we don’t always see each other all the time,” NHS member Gina D’Anza, ‘22, said. “It’s just a really fun way to spend the night with everybody in the club, and it’s always so fun.”
