New installation to reinforce school culture
Dhruvi Panchal | Conant Crier A new Cougar Way Core Values display has been installed across from Door 1 near Conant’s main gym, placing the school’s guiding principles in one of the building’s most frequently traveled areas.
The display highlights the Cougar Way Core Values: Community, Ownership, Respect, and Resourcefulness. Conant Principal Julie Nowak said the location was selected intentionally because of its visibility.
“It is a high-traffic space where students, staff, families, and visitors regularly pass,” Nowak said. “Placing the values there reinforces that they are not just words on a wall, but guiding principles for our school.”
According to Nowak, the placement is meant to emphasize that the values are central to the school community. The display is intended to remind students that expectations extend beyond academics.
“When students see the Cougar Way Core Values, we hope students are reminded that who students are and how students treat others matters just as much as what students achieve,” Nowak said.
