‘Emily in Paris’: it made no sense

When you think of Paris, beautiful scenery, stylish clothes, and luxury brands all come to mind. But we often forget how sophisticated French culture is until we see it in context with American culture. The Netflix original series “Emily in Paris” showcases the discrepancy between American and French culture as Emily (Lily Collins) navigates life in France. Nivedha Krishnan (Nivi) is a News Editor and a senior at Conant. This is her second year on the Crier Staff. At Conant, Nivi is part of the Public Forum Debate Team, JV Girls Badminton, Scholastic Bowl, and RISE.
