The Crier’s Holiday Favorites
As December begins, it’s officially full steam ahead on the Christmas and winter holiday festivities! Putting up decorations, baking, shopping, binge watching holiday classics – all exciting parts of the season. Quarantine is the perfect excuse to snuggle up and celebrate the season at home this year. Here are the Crier Staff’s all-time favorite ways to spend their holiday season!
Winter is arguably the busiest season of the year, packed with holidays to celebrate. What day during the holiday season do you look forward to the most?
Although COVID might change the way everyone celebrates the holidays this year, many traditions will live on. Do your friends or family have any traditions for the holidays?
On Christmas Eve my family waits all night till 12am when it’s Christmas Day to open our gifts up! While waiting we play games, talk, and listen to music. Amelie Pineda, ‘23

Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, or any other holiday, winter is an exciting time for everyone, filled with memories and quality time with family. What is your favorite memory attached to this time of year?
Two years ago, my family traveled to Europe for winter break. We celebrated Christmas in Paris (which was beautiful), spent a few days in Barcelona, and welcomed the new year in London with our cousins there. Diya Thomas, ‘21
